Hi, I’m Candra!

I’m the owner and photographer here at Candra Cain Photography since 2009! I’m a millennial who is already refusing to learn new technology.

I graduated from IADT and grew up right here in St. Pete, Florida! I married my high school sweetheart, and she and I have celebrated 13 years of marriage and over 20 years of love!

Besides photography, my passion is senior animals. I have two senior dogs and one senior cat, and they run my whole life—and I love it that way.

While my work is very glamorous, I am not! You will rarely see me in makeup, and I usually have dirt under my nails from the garden. However, just like you, I can be glamorous for a short amount of time.

I take my business very seriously, but myself, not at all. You will see me trip, lose my camera mid-shoot, and we will laugh about it the entire time.

I love what I do. Photography is something I’ve embraced throughout my life, but what truly drives my passion is witnessing the profound change it brings to people's lives. I've seen women learn to love themselves again. I've witnessed individuals fall in love with aspects of themselves they once despised. I've seen them break free from toxic relationships and embrace their own vulnerabilities. Photography is magical—not because of the camera, but because of its ability to transform how you perceive yourself.

I believe in making a difference in the world through the gifts we are given, and this is my way of creating change: by holding up a reflection of the breathtaking art that you already are. It often takes makeup, hair, angles, and lighting for us to see ourselves as our loved ones do. My magical gift lies in helping you see yourself through the eyes of those who cherish you.
